Johnathan joined Chambers having completed his pupillage with Mr. Ambrose Ho SC, Mr. Jonathan Ah-weng, Ms. Joyce Leung and Mr. Herbert Leung. He is developing a broad practice with experience in handling matters involving commercial, company, arbitration, land, probate, personal injury, employment and family.

Johnathan obtained his LLB from the University of Warwick and his LLM with Distinction from the London School of Economics. He further obtained his PCLL from the University of Hong Kong, where he was awarded the Henry Wai & Co. Litigation Prize.

    • [2024] HKCFI 898: Application for a preservation order of 4 ships (which were formerly part of two renowned floating restaurants in Hong Kong) in the context of a claim for the specific performance of a contract (led by Mr. Ambrose Ho SC).
    • [2024] HKCFI 2320: Two-day hearing on the form of the preservation order and on fortification (led by Mr. Ambrose Ho SC).
  • Lam Hui Sai Ping v Tung Wah Group of Hospitals & Ors [2024] HKCFI 1025: Acted for a beneficiary in a trial concerning the validity of a will, involving issues of testamentary capacity and knowledge and approval (led by Mr. Ambrose Ho SC and Mr. Nelson Miu).
  • High Route Ltd v Wong Chung Kai [2024] HKCFI 75: Appeared for the plaintiff in a trial concerning a claim for the recovery of deposits in a share purchase transaction to purchase a property, involving issues of due diligence investigation and good title (with Ms. Prisca Cheung).
